Connecting Purpose to Your Work and Life – With Global Changemaker Carolyn Tate and Four Bay Area Leaders

November 8, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$25 - $35

It’s always good to remember that Conscious Capitalism is a global movement. With that in mind, we’re proud to host one of the world’s leading changemakers.  Carolyn Tate will be with us for an event on November 8th that takes a deep dive into purpose, one of the four principles of Conscious Capitalism. She will help us answer these fundamental questions: Why are we here? What is most meaningful to us? How is the world better because we exist? What is the legacy we’re leaving?

Carolyn Tate is one of the founders Conscious Capitalism in Australia, and her company is a Certified B Corp. She’s a thought leader and author of the book Purpose Project, a contribution to the movement that addresses the intersection of personal and organizational purpose.

Carolyn is traveling the world, sharing the book on what she calls her 100,000 Impacts Tour. This is a mission to ignite the fire of purpose in 100,000 humans in 10 cities across the world. Read more about the tour dates and the special Deep Dinners she’s hosting, her speaking events and other events here: You can also read a sample of The Purpose Project here

Here’s what to expect from this transformative global event:

  • Carolyn will introduce herself and will make a presentation on purpose. She’ll define and explore the meaning of purpose, busting some myths in the process.
  • Next she’ll introduce a local panel of Bay Area leaders who will share their personal stories, including the purpose that drives them.

Zach Berke, Founder and CEO of Exygy

Mylea Charvat, PhD of Savonix

Vince Siciliano of New Resource Bank

Villy Wang of BAYCAT

  • We’ll break out into an interactive session, exploring our own reason for being, applying the Japanese ikigai model to our discussions
  • We’ll create mindmaps based on this structure: Purpose is found at the intersection of what we love, what we are good at, what the world needs, and what we can be paid for. There will be an opportunity to share what we’ve learned.

Join Conscious Capitalism Bay Area and the thousands of people on Carolyn Tate’s tour who are aligning their personal and organizational purpose.

The cost will be $25 for members and $35 for non-members. Snacks and drinks will be served. Register here.

We would like to acknowledge Exygy, the company offering their beautiful space for this event.  Exygy is the premier agency for the social sector. They provide strategy, design, and engineering services for the world’s leading change makers. As a certified B-Corporation, they believe their expertise in creating great digital solutions should be used to improve lives.

We’re looking forward to seeing you!  Your friends at CCBA.
